What is the Medallion Architecture?

The Medallion Architecture is a data engineering approach that organizes data in a layered structure to deliver quality, scalability and usability. The Medallion approach is structured into Bronze, Silver, Gold layers. In this, data engineers can take raw datasets (Bronze), clean and enrich them (Silver) and then transform them into prepared datasets for analytics and reports (Gold). By removing complexity, ensuring the proper use of the data, and making it ready for better use for analytics and AI / ML.
